Instagram IGTV app: Instagram shuts down the IGTV app to boost reels

 

In a recent move, Facebook has revealed that the company will focus on short video formats. reel from now on. Following that path, Instagram Announced that it will end support for IGTV’s standalone apps. According to TechCrunch, the company plans to remove the app from the app store next month. Instagram is also working on creating one way to share videos, bringing together creation tools to provide new ways to discover content. The platform will also begin testing new advertising experiences. This allows creators to monetize the ads displayed on Lille.

For those who don’t know, the video posted to the feed is now 60 minutes long. Prior to the change, the length was exclusive to IGTV videos and users had to leave the main application to view those videos.

 

Users can now easily upload videos up to 60 minutes long by simply tapping the “+” in the upper right corner of the home page. The video preview on the main page will be 60 seconds long, and if eligible for advertising, the preview will be limited to 15 seconds.
