How does the AirGuard app work?
AirGuard uses the Bluetooth scan of your Android phone to search for AirTag and FindMy trackers. All trackers found are stored locally on the device. If the tracker is detected multiple times, If the tracker has detected at least three times and the location changes (to make sure you’re not a neighbor or family member), the app will send you a notification. If your tracker is AirTag, you can play and find the sound.
Recently, Apple also announced changes and new features to prevent unwanted stalking. With iOS 15.4 Beta, Apple has added a new message to the AirTag setup screen. It informs users that “using this item to track people without consent is a crime in many parts of the world.”
